It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hospice University faculty member, friend, and mentor Judy Rybka, RN, BSN, MEd.
An integral part of our HU family for more than 15 years, Judy helped coach thousands of hospice professionals through in-person trainings, on-site consultations, and online webinars. She made a lasting impact on the hospice industry throughout her distinguished career, which spanned more than 50 years.
Prior to her time with Hospice University, Judy held several leadership positions, including National Director of Sales, Vice President of Product Development, Vice President of Market Development, and Regional Director for various hospice organizations. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Education from North Carolina State University.
We remember Judy for her enthusiasm, caring presence, and commitment to improving access to quality end-of-life care. Our deepest sympathies are with Judy’s family. She will be deeply missed by our entire team and all those who were blessed to know her.
